Carranza Wedding - January 7, 2010

We recently had the pleasure of having our wedding at Shade on January 7, 2010. We wanted to let you know how amazing every aspect of the experience was. From planning the event with Jolise, to choosing our menu with the chef, the service at your hotel was first class. We especially wanted to recognize Jolise for going above and beyond what was necessary to make sure this day went as smoothly as possible for the both of us. With the help of Jolise and her staff, every detail was perfect.

We have received numerous compliments from our family and friends after our wedding about how great the service and food was in addition to the beauty of the hotel. Guests mentioned that during the tray passed food portion of the night, they never had to look twice to find a server with a tray of food passing through the crowd. Any requests they had were promptly tended to all night long. The service was impeccable. It was a great feeling to hear how much our guests enjoyed every detail.

And we will never forget what Jolise had done for us on our wedding night when we returned to our room. We walked into our room with suprise...there was a bottle of wine and a note from Jolise accompanied with a few cupcakes from our wedding for us to enjoy. And our flowers were beautifully displayed thoughout the room. It truly made us feel special.

The purpose of this letter is to recognize all the people who worked so hard to make sure our night was memorable not only for us but for all our guests as well. Jolise’s attention to detail in planning our event was perfect. We are so happy that we chose Shade Hotel as our wedding venue. It will truly be a memory that will last us a lifetime.

I have nothing but praise for Shade Hotel and everyone I met there that worked on Rachael's wedding. The food was definitely the best I have ever had at a wedding, and the desserts were lovely. The staff are the nicest I have ever come across at any hotel. When people that weren't at the wedding ask me how it went, I tell them, "it was perfection".

I can't thank you enough for helping to make my daughter's wedding day everything she could have hoped for and more and for running it so smoothly.

What an outstanding event! The Director of Events and the Chef made our evening so memorable. What a great team! Everything was perfect from the bartender to our security guard and all other assistants who shared in making everyone happy. I was pleased and that is a difficult task to accomplish. The food was delicious and the presentation excellent. We received so many compliments because of your efforts to make the event run smoothly.

The Noble Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Roland and I want to thank you for all your help in making his 40th birthday party a success. I've been bombarded by emails and calls from those who were there on Saturday saying that they loved the food, the drinks and the overall atmosphere of Shade and best of all, they had a great time. Everything just worked out great and your staff was the best.

From the bartender, to the security, to your servers; You all made it a success. Thank you for being there every step of the way and helping pull everything together for us. And thank you for your wonderful suggestions on the food and the overall atmosphere. You two make planning an event effortless in my book.

But the best part is seeing Roland very happy surrounded by his friends and family who were all happy to be there and celebrating with him. Thanks again for everything!!

On behalf of the Donegan family and their guests, I would like to thank you and all the staff of Shade Hotel for all your efforts on the occasion of the funeral reception honoring Dr. Patrick Donegan on February 12th. You and your excellent staff took everything into consideration and in a caring comforting manner helped us through a difficult time.

The ambience was intimate and luxurious and was impressive to all in attendance. The world class food is still a topic of discussion and we received many phone calls praising us for such wonderful food and surroundings. One such friend of my Father's said to me, "You did your Dad proud".

The Shade experience turned out to be a very special and unique celebration of our Father's life.
